Yes — both Kira Health Sarcee (SW Calgary) and Kira Health Coventry (NE Calgary) are currently accepting new patients. Book online or call either clinic directly to register.
Yes. All routine appointments, consultations, and annual physicals are covered by your Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) at no cost to you. Please bring your valid, non-expired AHC card to every appointment.
Book online and select "Register for Family Doctor" as the appointment type. Bring your Alberta Health Care card, photo ID, and a list of current medications to your first visit. Both locations accept new patient registrations — choose the clinic closest to you.
Yes. Both clinics offer family medicine for patients of all ages. Our Coventry location also has a dedicated paediatrician for specialist paediatric care — available by GP referral.
Yes. Both locations offer sick notes, medical forms, insurance forms, and driver's medical assessments. These can be requested at your appointment. Note that some forms may carry an administrative fee as they fall outside AHCIP coverage.
Your Kira Health family physician can refer you to specialists as clinically appropriate. We have psychiatry and paediatrics available within our own network, which often means faster access than an external referral.
Yes. Both clinics have free on-site parking. Sarcee is located in a strip mall at 32-4604 37 Street SW with ample surface parking. Coventry is at 790 Coventry Drive NE with parking directly in front of the clinic.
Absolutely. Kira Health offers a professional language line service for patients who prefer to communicate in another language. Simply let our reception team know when booking and we will arrange an interpreter for your appointment at no extra cost. Yoruba, Igbo, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, French, Tagalog, Mandarin, Spanish, Somali and many more languages are supported.
Prescription refills generally require an appointment or a phone consultation with your physician. This ensures your medications are reviewed regularly and your care stays up to date. Book a phone consultation online — it is quick and covered by AHC.

Coventry (NE Calgary) offers family medicine, paediatrics, women's health, and annual eye tests — open 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM weekdays, walk-in welcome. Choose the location most convenient for you.
Yes. Both clinics welcome walk-in patients with no appointment needed for acute concerns. Kira Health Sarcee accepts walk-ins Monday to Friday 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM. Kira Health Coventry accepts walk-ins Monday to Friday 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. No referral required. Alberta Health Care accepted.
Yes. Online booking is available at kirahealth.ca for both locations. You can book a meet and greet, an appointment with your family physician, or a phone consultation directly through the website — 24 hours a day, no need to call reception.
Yes. Same-day appointments are available at both clinics, subject to physician availability. Book online early in the morning at kirahealth.ca to secure a same-day slot, or walk in and our reception team will accommodate you as quickly as possible.
Yes. Kira Health Coventry is open Monday to Friday until 7:00 PM, making it one of the few NE Calgary clinics offering evening family medicine. Evening appointments are covered by Alberta Health Care. Walk-in patients are also welcome during evening hours.
Yes. Phone consultations are available for established patients at both clinics and are covered by Alberta Health Care. Virtual appointments are available where clinically appropriate. Book a phone consultation online at kirahealth.ca — no need to come in for every concern.
Yes. Kira Health has consultant psychiatrists at both the Sarcee and Coventry locations. Psychiatric services cover depression, anxiety, ADHD, and complex mental health conditions. A GP referral is required — ask your Kira Health family physician, or fax a referral from your current GP to our clinic.
At your first appointment, ask our reception team for a Medical Records Transfer Request form. You will need to sign a consent form authorising your previous clinic to release your records. We will handle the transfer directly. Most records are received within 2–4 weeks. In the meantime your Kira Health physician can begin your care from your first visit.
Available at Kira Health Sarcee in partnership with Euclid Telehealth — expert ocular health assessments, fully covered by Alberta Health Care. For patients aged 19 and over.
A 25-minute non-invasive ocular health assessment conducted by a Euclid Vision Care Technician at our Sarcee clinic. Results are reviewed by a qualified Canadian Ophthalmologist and sent directly to your Kira Health physician.
Note: this assessment is focused on eye health, not whether you need glasses or a change in prescription.
There are no out-of-pocket costs. This service is fully covered by the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP). You simply bring your valid Alberta health card. Available to patients aged 19 and over — the paediatric service is not yet available at this location.
